Bob Ross Mixin' It Up

I don't mind showing my age or admitting my age but please don't confuse that with acting my age, which is an entirely different thing.

With this little vid, I guess I am admitting it in a big way.  I first started watching The Joy Of Painting with Bob Ross  in the mid 1980's.  Back then I didn't admit it to many for fear of being thought of as a nerd, when nerd wasn't as cool as it is today.  Then, in the 1990's, my college age son mentioned him and I was sort of excited.  Not that he watched The Joy of Painting but I think that Bob Ross had found his way into a world of the accepted along with Elmo, Jerry Springer, Jerry Seinfeld and Ron Jeremy.

You can imagine my excitement when I saw this little goody come on line.

Russian Submarine on Beach

This is a great photo tho I bet the actually event was a lot more impressive.  The sub looks like it is easily within reach.  I wonder if people actually attempted to swim out to touch.

Why this photo surfaced (a little submarine joke here)  this month, I am not sure.  It was actually taken in 2006.  That fact doesn't make it any less impressive.

Taken on the beach in Severodvinsk on the White Sea.  It has appeared on many blogs and sites with a bit of speculation that it was a fake.  Guess that has been proven to be a real event.

While this event appears to be a rareity, consider this.  American subs are seen off the Southern California coast on a regular basis.  Especially around  Coronado and Cabrillo Point, San Diego, as shown in the photo below.

I'm still impressed at both.

Shucking that Corn Cob

We all know that the best corn is the fresh corn.  So we buy it in the husk and take it home and make the mess while attempting to get all the husk and those little hairs to peal off.  Well I have found this guy with a video to show us the easy way - and I wouldn't be sharing if I hadn't tried it myself.  It worked for me.  Try it.

Cheetah vs. Gazelle

This is a great video.  What are the chances that someone would catch this on tape.

Deb 'Spoons' Perry

Another great find that I have 'borrowed' from the findings of Jim Happe.  Man, what would I do without him?  This is Deb 'Spoons' Perry - What a spunky Lady !

LSD Research

I have never seen anything like this.  The video may not be the best of quality but the research on the effects of using LSD use is amazing.  The research was done in the last 1960's.

You can see here just how intelligent you can be when high.
Funny stuff.
