I met Jim Happe back in the 80's when he was cooking for frat houses at University of Arizona. I knew what he could do then but never realized how artist is really is until we reconnected last year, 30 years later, via Facebook. Jim now lives in his home state of Iowa where he spends his spare time making some really fun things. I'll share a few pics of just one of the many things that he works on. One of the reasons I love the turned wood pieces is that fallen wood, that would other wise waste away or be burned in a fire place, becomes a beautiful and sometimes useful piece for the home. What a great use of natural resources.
